An important aspect of the meeting between the Academy students and the participants of the special military operation was not only receiving information about the current situation on the front lines, but also the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the moral side of the service and the courage of our defenders.

The second part of the event was devoted to the historical analysis of Nazi ideology. Director of the Coordination Center of Smolensk State University, lecturer of the Russian Society "Knowledge" Sergey Chikov gave a lecture, revealing in

detail the essence of the "OST" plan, developed by Nazi Germany for the colonization and Germanization of Eastern Europe. He spoke about the goals of this plan, its main provisions, the proposed methods of implementation, as well as the destructive consequences it had for the population of the occupied territories.

The event helped students draw parallels between the past and the present; better understand the danger of Nazi ideology and the importance of fighting it.
